“Mail Smarter, Not Less Presentation”

by Maciej Przbylowski of Carl Bloom Associates.

Come hear Maciej Przybylowski of Carl Bloom Associates Advanced Fundraising Solutions present “Mail Smarter Not Less.”   Now is the time to reflect on techniques that help you to thrive in a softening marketplace and increasing postage rates. The main focus points you will walk away with are: Zip Performance Index to improve acquisition, successful use of segmentation, use of personalization to improve response, campaign integration with other channels, ask string modification to improve revenue, and MiniMo.

Maciej Przybylowski, Carl Bloom Associates

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN DIRECT MARKETING 2006, Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, New York, MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ECONOMICS 2001 – Class Valedictorian, and University of Economics, Poznan, Poland.  Maciej’s MS thesis in Economics was on trend analysis at the commodity exchange and his MS thesis in Direct Marketing studied Customer Relationship Management, concentrating on Loyalty Building – a key component in fundraising.  His name, pronounced "magic", is quite fitting. He magically turns mountains of statistics into critical answers to important fundraising questions, which ultimately guide decisions for future productive membership campaigns.  As technician and creator of the valuable and sophisticated reports, graphs and charts issued to CBA clients, Maciej’s work saves them money and helps them avoid making uninformed decisions. No one can afford to “wing it” these days. Maciej’s reports show fundraisers:

• How to find the most productive prospects on acquisition lists

• How segmentation targets those who respond best to specific asks

• The value and necessity of Long Term Analyses

• Comparative year-to-year retention reports (by expire and effort)

• How to maximize add gift marketing to previous givers and non-givers

• Annual cumulative Actual vs. Budget reports

• CBA customized reports to meet individual client’s information needs

Maciej’s Zip Performance Index (ZPI) reports show that mailing to an entire list without special selections can be inefficient. ZPI reports the profitability of every zip code in a mailing and shows how to eliminate the 15% to 20% that produce nothing.  Don’t base your critical marketing decisions on only “part of the picture.” First generation statistics are not enough, you should learn how donors are likely to act for years to come. Beside numbers, Maciej’s other interests include: swimming (he's a member of US Masters Swimming), bee keeping, photography and gourmet cooking. He and his lovely wife, Marzena.
